The Encounter
In March 2025, I wanted a massage and the voice in my head told me to try out this other massage spa. When I first entered, Anne greeted me and at that very moment I know that I was in trouble. It was as if after all these years I found my counterpart. Her kind heart and smile sealed my fate. I could not wait to see her again. The next day, I took her flowers and she grinned from ear to ear stating that this was the first time someone brought her flowers. We were able to meet again in the morning as she planned to go the grocery store and I enjoyed every minute I spent with her. Sadly though, the next day she was leaving for New York to complete her study and take the New York state massage license test. I came that morning to see her off and we texted and talked while she was in New York.
The Journey
Anne successfully passed the state exam and was having a celebatory dinner in New York with friends. She invited me to come up to be a part of it. I immediately booked my hotel and counted down the days till I would get to see her. As the date arrived, naturally I could not sleep the evening before as I was filled with excitement. I made the trek from Pennsylvania to New York and as I navigated the parking, Anne was dressed to the "9"s waiting for me outside the restuarant. This was my first experience with real Chineese food and I was sold. I got to me her close friends and enjoyed all their company as well as her best friend JaJa. To my suprise, Anne stayed with me at the hotel for the entire stay. She showed me China town, Central Park, Manhattan and what the area had to offer. It was pretty amazing. We then headed north to her friend Jenny and Kevin which I had a great time and enjoyed veryone having a blast with Karaokee. Sadly the time came to an end where I headed back home.
The Concluson
Anne arrived back in PA and we went on our very first vacation together to Ft. Meyers Florida and had a wonderful time with family. Upon our return, together we started to look for our very first place together. We moved in together in June of 2025 and we never looked back. As we continued forward learning more about each other as well as the difference in culture, it was worth every minute. We sealed the deal by getting married at Longs Park in Lancaster on October 27th and had our Chineese wedding on November 1 in Flushing New York. We were surrounded by friends and shared great food and ceramonial dress. I must say that Chineese know who to do dinner. There was so much food it was hard select what to eat. I must say that the time and experience has been nothing short of amazing and we continue to move onward with our journey. I have never been as happy as I am with Anne.
